My roommate, Johnny, and I have a contest going: see who can read the most books this year. We are both taking a C.S. Lewis class this summer semester and have to read 13 of his books (yeah, for one class). So I'll hit 25 books by the end of June, easy. I'm at 14 right now and I think he's at 13.
There are a few rules: the book has to be over a 100 pages and a certain number of the books we read have to be something other than fiction. Like theology, history, poetry, etc. The purpose isn't just to read a ton of books but to learn something along the way.
If you're looking for a book to read, the two most interesting ones thus far are Malcolm Gladwell's What the Dog Saw and David Sedaris' Me Talk Pretty One Day. You can't go wrong with either of these.
I'll post a list of completed books once I've reached 20. That will probably happen mid-May.
