Sometimes when I drink coffee I get excited about stuff. Sharing time.

The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao
: Junot Diaz. Not a novel for the timid. Diaz enjoys shocking, bold statements: At times graphic descriptions of sexuality. The language itself is harsh, intentionally uncultured (or othercultured), language of the street, interspersed with Spanish exclamations (often an authority figure rebuking a child) but all highly balanced and intelligent and (to end this long description) readable. All in all, a refreshing read.

Ok Go : Of the Blue Colour of the Sky.
First three tracks:
1. WTF?
2. This Too Shall Pass
3. All is Not Lost
I bought this yesterday so I haven't had a chance to listen to the entire album, but thus far it's impressive and energetic. And seems to be about hope, if the first three songs are any indication of the rest of the album.

A haircut.
